We are hiring a Back-End Developer

Created by AutoStore, Pio is a warehouse automation company based in Stavanger that helps small and medium sized businesses run their warehouses like pros. Our advanced cube storage systems let smaller teams handle more orders, save space and ship faster without the complexity.

That is where you come in.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work where ecommerce, robotics and AI meet. You will design and build modern API connections that make our hardware and software talk to each other beautifully. From idea to launch, you will be part of the entire process, shaping how we build, not just what we build.

We are a small, tight knit team which means your voice matters, and your code gets seen (and used) fast. You will have the freedom to explore, experiment and make an impact while making sure what we deliver is fast, reliable and ready to scale across warehouses worldwide.

You will work with:

• Contribute to building a positive, inclusive, and forward-thinking culture from the ground up in a young and growing company
• Development of the Pio Platform and APIs, including new features, system performance enhancements, monitoring, insight, and reports
• Write high-quality, well-tested code that is deployed frequently to production
• Creating end-customer value by working closely with the users to solve their needs together with a highly-skilled and motivated team
• Our Tech Stack: FastAPI, Pydantic, PyTest, Redis, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and Terraform

Desired skills and experience:

• 10+ years of experience as a backend developer coding in Python, Rust, or other modern programming languages and PostgreSQL
• Proven track record in building web applications with an ability to make informed and smart tradeoffs
• Experience with Kubernetes based DevOps services, preferably within an Azure or other equivalent environment
• A motivated and adaptable individual with a passion for building scalable products, shaping company culture, and thriving in a fast-paced, evolving scale-up environment
• Nice to have: experience with FastAPI and e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or WooCommerce

Location for this role is in Stavanger.
